Take Me Away…
I got this spam comment on my post about Cooper’s tantrum that I wrote a week or so ago:
Airfare to philippines….
Cheap airfare. Airfare….
Apparently, taking off to the Philippines is the solution to dealing with your child’s tantrums. It all makes sense now.
Eat up, Cooper!
Cooper has got this finger-food thing just about down. His fist usually ends up in his mouth for a few seconds before he finally gets whatever scrumptious morsel he’s eating into his mouth, but he’s got the idea. Elegance will come later. When I’m with him, he claps and smiles each time the food successfully reaches its destination. His progress in all areas seems to be exponential lately.
Thoughts on Supernanny
Kandis and I have become fans of Supernanny. Though watching it makes us both wonder sometimes if mandatory parenting licenses would make sense, I don’t think keeping your kid reigned in can be quite as simple as a one-hour show makes it seem. Though I agree that children need rules, boundaries, and consequences, they are also smart. A child can figure out how to “work the system” if they find the loopholes, and that’s what I worry about as Cooper grows up. I don’t doubt that we can come up with a good routine for him. The challenge will be closing the loopholes as he gains more intelligence. Adaptation will be the key.
