Kandis and I caught some of the Democratic convention tonight. The highlight was Vice Presidential nominee Joe Biden’s acceptance speech. It was emotional, compelling, and direct. I wanted him as president during the Democratic primaries, but I’ll take him as vice president. He complements Obama well, and I think he will be able to effect the change this country needs. As a team, they will help make Cooper’s future a brighter one, and there isn’t much more important to me than Cooper’s future. Time for me to track down that “Obama-Biden 08″ bumper sticker.

Just Another Day at the Office

Phone in hand, snack and drink ready. Make those sales! Let’s just hope telemarketing isn’t one of his aspirations. Whatever makes him happy. (As we constantly have to remind ourselves!)

Cooper’s into a phase where he enjoys phones. We’ve found a phone that’s no longer functional, which is perfect. The last time we gave him a working phone, someone named Letitia got an unexpected call.

I am sitting here watching “Curious George” with Cooper and his seven year-old Aunt. That’s right, Cooper has an aunt who is seven. I forgot how much I liked those lazy Sunday mornings when I was a kid. Note to self: make cartoon watching part of weekend routine!
